SHIPPING QUESTIONS:

Q: Why is delivery only available Wednesday - Friday?
A: To ensure your cupcakes arrive fresh…like they just came out of the oven, we only ship on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for arrival on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Two day shipping ensures your cupcakes are the same fresh-baked quality as our shops serve in our Seattle bakeries. We hope to add more delivery days in the future.

 

Q: What is the cut off time for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday delivery?
A: Order Sunday by midnight PST for Wednesday delivery, Order by Monday midnight PST for Thursday delivery and by Tuesday midnight PST for Friday Delivery. 

 

Q: Why don’t you offer shipping for decorated cupcakes, macarons and other items from your bakery?
A: We hope to get there, but at this point we are only able to offer shipping for our DIY kits. As soon as we master shipping other items perfectly- we will add them!

 

STORING:

Q: How do I store my cupcakes if I don’t want to decorate them the day they arrive?
A: Simply place the vacuum sealed cupcakes, and the buttercream container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks! (the buttercream can also be stored in the refrigerator) The day you are ready to decorate, take them out at least 2 hours prior to your decorating party so the cupcakes and the buttercream come to room temperature.

 

Q: How do I store cupcakes after they are decorated?
A: If you’ll be enjoying them within 24 hours, store then in an airtight container on your counter top. If you’d like to save them for more than 24 hours. Place them in an airtight container and freeze for up to a week. Take them out at least 2 hours before serving so they are room temperature. 

 

CUPCAKES:

Q: How do the cupcakes stay fresh if they’re not being shipped overnight?
A: We are serious about perfect quality and delicious cupcakes…which is why it took us 14 years to start shipping our cupcakes! We have spent the last year experimenting with vacuum sealing and shipping techniques…and have finally perfected our process. Our cupcakes stay fresh for up to five days in the sealed packaged. 

 

Q: How do I remove the cupcakes from the package?
A: Open the cupcake box and carefully and lift the cupcake tray out.  Cut one end of the plastic packaging and then cut up the sides of the plastic and peel it back- (do not pull the cupcakes tray out of the package without the sides being cut-this may damage the cupcakes.  Once the plastic is peeled back, lift the tray away from the plastic. You can either leave the cupcakes in the tray while decorating, or place them on a separate platter.

 

Q: Are the kit and cupcakes nut free?
A: We are not a not-free bakery, however our Chocolate and Yumfetti Cupcake Kits are nut-free. Our gluten free cupcakes are made with almond flour. Although we follow strict procedures to minimize cross contamination please be advised that our bakery uses peanuts, tree-nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten and other allergens.

 

BUTTERCREAM:

Q: Can I use the buttercream right out of the container?
A: Yes, however to make it more “Trophy-Quality”, we recommend re-whipping it before use. Simply use a hand mixer, or stand mixer with the paddle attachment, and whip on high for 2 minutes. The buttercream will become light and fluffy- like a cloud! If you do not have a mixer, place the buttercream in a bowl and stir with a rubber spatula until smooth.

 

Q: What if my buttercream is too hard?
A: Our buttercream is made with 100% real butter and will get firm in colder temperatures. Simply let it warm up on the counter top or place it in the microwave in 10 second intervals, stirring in between. Be very careful not to melt it…trust us-we’ve done it! You want the buttercream to be just barely soft, at that point it will whip up beautifully and be easy to work with.

 

Q: What if my buttercream too soft or melted?
A: Our buttercream is made with 100% real butter and will melt in warmer temperatures or if left in the microwave too long. Never fear though, simply place it in the refrigerator and let it firm up. As soon as it’s has firmed up, but is still soft enough to stir, use a hand mixer or stand mixer with a paddle attachment and whip on high until it comes together- it should get light and fluffy- like a delicious cloud! 

 

ALLERGIES AND INGREDIENTS:

Q: Do you offer Gluten free cupcakes?
A: Yes, you may choose gluten free cupcakes for your DIY kit. They’re made with almond flour and Manini’s AP gluten-free flour. However, our bakery is not a gluten-free certified bakery. Please note that although we follow strict procedures to minimize cross contamination- our bakery uses peanuts, tree-nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten and other allergens.

 

Q: Is your bakery nut free?
A: No. Although we follow strict procedures to minimize cross contamination- our bakery uses peanuts, tree-nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat and other allergens.

 

Q: Do your cupcakes and buttercream contain Dairy?
A: Yes, all of the cupcakes on our shipping site contain milk products and our buttercream is made with 100% real butter.
